When we launched Loqui in January 2025, I set out to build a safe space for anyone to connect who just needed to be heard. No judgment, no fixing, just real human presence when people needed to talk.
Real people. Real faces. Really listening.
What’s happened since then has been a pleasant surprise to see:
Over 106,500 minutes of connection.
Every one of those minutes started with someone who simply needed someone to talk to.

Where It All Started
Before Loqui, I spent years as a Listener on another app. Again and again, I talked with people who were carrying things they couldn’t say to anyone in their life. Not because they had no one, but because sometimes the people closest to us are the hardest to open up to. If you’ve ever thought, “I need someone to talk to, but not my friends,” you know exactly what I mean. Loqui started as a simple drawing, and it’s grown into something I never expected.
2 AM, 2 PM, and Every Hour in Between
A few calls were at 2am when some people couldn’t sleep, and others were at 2pm when people needed to think out loud.
Whenever people needed to talk, Loqui has been there to listen.
We’ve even watched two strangers turn a 1 AM call into a real friendship.
A Thank You Note That Says It All
Some conversations lasted 10 to 15 minutes. Others lasted longer and became something much more. Here is one Thank You note we received from a member just this week:
“I have been talking with Jeannie and she is the most amazing listener and person! She brings so much wisdom, kindness and knowledge to each conversation.”
Thank you to Jeannie and all of our incredible Listeners who show up every day to hold space for our members. Because of you, for those 1,770+ hours, hundreds of people were not alone in their thoughts. They had someone with them, listening.
What 22,000 Minutes of Listening Taught Me
Having personally spent over 22,000 minutes on calls, listening to our members, I see the impact of this community every day. Every single conversation is a reminder of why Loqui exists; because connection matters. Being heard matters. And knowing you are not alone changes everything.
You don’t need the perfect words, and you don’t need to have it all figured out. For a lot of people, it also helps that they can stay anonymous. As one member put it, it’s the anonymity that makes this work.
This Milestone Belongs to You
We’ve celebrated a few milestones along the way: 90,000, then 98,000, then 100,000 minutes. Every one of those minutes belongs to this community: the Talkers who trusted us with their stories, and the Listeners who made time for them.
Need Someone to Talk To?
Maybe you’re reading this and thinking, “Honestly, I could use someone to talk to right now.” You don’t need a big reason, and you don’t need to wait for things to get worse. If you’ve been wondering “where can I find someone to talk to right now?”, this is one place you can start.
Your first 15 minutes are free. No subscription, and you don’t have to share anything you’re not comfortable with. You can pick a Listener whose profile feels right, or tap Talk to a Listener Now to reach whoever is available first. See our Pricing page for more.
A Few Questions People Often Ask
Who are the Listeners?
Real people from different backgrounds and walks of life. What they share is a willingness to listen. You can see their photos and bios before you call, so you can choose someone who feels right for you.
Do I have to share who I am?
No. You can talk openly without sharing personal details you’re not comfortable with.
Is Loqui the same as therapy?
No. Loqui is peer support and human connection. Our Listeners aren’t therapists or medical professionals, and Loqui isn’t a replacement for professional care. Many people use it alongside therapy, as someone extra to talk to in between.
How much does it cost?
Your first 15 minutes are free. After that, you simply add time when you want it. There’s no subscription, and purchased time never expires. You’ll find more answers on our FAQ page.
We are Always Here
To everyone who has trusted Loqui with their story, thank you for being a part of this community.
If you ever need to talk, whether it’s 2am or 2pm, we are here to listen. 💙
